Sojourner's Perinatal Program provides prevention education services to women of child-bearing age and their partners or potential partners with a specific emphasis on the risk and harm of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use during pregnancy. We will help coordinate needed services and other referrals as we continue to support you throughout your pregnancy.
If you think or know you are pregnant and are afraid to get perinatal care because you are using alcohol, drugs, or non-prescribed medication, you want to talk to us. We understand the fear of losing custody of your child, fear of the responsibilities of being a mother, fear of not having support and those fears may be overwhelming you.
We know that a pregnant woman who uses drugs/alcohol does not want to hurt her baby. At Sojourner we do not judge, we are committed to providing support without the fear of stigma or punishment.
We want to provide support so that the decisions you make will increase your baby's chances of being born healthier. Some decisions you make last a lifetime... yours and your baby's. |
